LPA’s mission is to:
1. Promote the practice, research and teaching of psychology in Lebanon
2. Highlight the importance of psychology in serving the Lebanese society and the Arab region
3. Establish a network of professionals in psychology for the purpose of exchanging expertise and promoting psychological research
4. Work with local, regional, and international psychological associations and organizations
5. Unite psychologists and other mental health professionals from different backgrounds
6. Offer its members a brainstorming platform for sharing knowledge and ideas
7. Promote awareness about mental health to the general public

Being a member of LPA also means:
1- Belonging to a major association for mental health that has a memorandum of understanding with the American Psychological Association (APA) and the International Union for Psychological Science (IUPsyS) and being part of a network of psychologists where information and opportunities are shared
2- Being part of a network who shares similar interests in mental health
3- Benefitting from discounts or free access to workshops and lectures organized by LPA or by associations that collaborate with LPA
4- Getting access to activities exclusive to LPA members
5- Organizing trainings with certified training centers for LPA members
6- Getting listed on the website of LPA (Professional members (A1) only)
7- Being actively involved in LPA activities such as giving talks and workshops to other LPA members as well as individuals interested in psychology
8- Getting a platform where one can present their research or find help and support for research projects
9- Creating study and research groups for future psychologists and other mental health professionals
10- Remaining informed about events and news related to mental health in Lebanon and in the world
11- Benefitting from becoming an International Affiliate of the American Psychological Association (APA) at a majorly discounted rate and taking
advantage of APA affiliate benefits

Category A
1-Full Professional Members (Psychologists who already have a master or a doctoral degree in ANY field of Psychology)
2-Graduate Students Members* (Masters and Doctoral students currently enrolled in a graduate program in ANY field of Psychology)
3-Undergraduate Students Members* (Holders of a bachelor degree in PSYCHOLOGY: those who have already earned a bachelor’s degree in PSYCHOLOGY, but still have not started a graduate program), as well as students who are currently enrolled in undergrad PSYCHOLOGY program (Not in another major)

*PS: A letter from the university stating that you are currently enrolled as a student is a must for categories A2 and A3
